Struggling with your Exchange 2007 Resource Rooms? Exchange Team Blog on Technet has the solution!

02 Aug

Are you managing your Meeting rooms with Exchange 2007?

If yes, you may have dealt with the same type of users requests than me.

I was requested to:

· Set the Resource Rooms so that each meeting request it receives is forwarded to a bunch of users

· Make sure those users can Accept meeting requests on behalf of the Resource Rooms (from their own calendar)

· With this constraint: Meeting requests should not be automatically approved, all approvals should be manual.

To do this configuration, I simply wrote and run this command, which:

· Selects all Resource Rooms

· Configure the requested settings

[PS] C:\>Get-Mailbox | where {$_.ResourceType -eq "Room"} | Set-MailboxCalendarSettings -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept -AllRequestInPolicy:$true -AllBookInPolicy:$false -ResourceDelegates user1,user2,user3

You have a good synthesis of the configuration details and possibilities in the Exchange team blog on Technet: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/02/26/3407028.aspx

I have copied-pasted the table below.
