Where is the “Documents” option in Outlook Web App 2010?

If you were used to documents sharing through your Outlook Web Access 2007 interface, you might be disappointed to notice that the option is not any more existing in Outlook Web App 2010.

Indeed, Microsoft has simply discontinued the feature.

For those who don’t know what the sharing documents feature in Exchange 2007 is about, see the steps below.

1. In your OWA 2007 mailbox, click on Documents tab, at the bottom left of your main page.

2. In the Documents page, select Open Location, type your documents location in format: \server.mydomain.comshare or https://sharepoint.mydomain.com/document_library.

You shall be able to open the share or document library.

Note that the AD account linked to your mailbox shall have been granted access to the share/document library prior to accessing it.
